The Commissions
This group provides for the spiritual formation and development of the entire parish.
This formation encompasses all stages of enlightment from Baptism preparation
through adult education. This includes the OCIA program where individuals become
full-fledged members of out Catholic Faith.
This group is responsible for encouraging and supporting the
personal spiritual formation of all parishioners as well as worship (liturgy), which is
the center of our Catholic Faith. We are formed by liturgy and are sent forth from
that liturgy to proclaim the word of God to everyone.
This group is rooted in an understanding of who we are in relationship with God.
Stewardship is an expression of discipleship, with the power to change how we understand
and live out our lives. Those who practice stewardship are grateful for what they
have received and are eager to share their gifts out of love for God and others.
This commission is to promote family life, to help build community in the parish, and
to foster a sense of belonging among parishioners. It encompasses all activities
that can strengthen parish life, providing for the social and communal needs of the
parishioners.
Our Baptismal vocation calls us to hear and proclaim the Gospel; to celebrate the
sacraments and deepen the life of grace within ourselves and to serve the needs of others
in the Church, the community, and throughout the world. In a special way, this
vocation calls us to promote and defend the dignity of each human person.
